A few words about "Sun Shadow", the band plays folk metal with elements of heavy, progressive, powerful and doom metal.
The world of the Tin Sun is a fast-paced flight beyond time. This is why ancient forgotten relics come to life in the band's songs. Musicians put their ideology in the first place - the spirit of their music is born in Russia: the Dnieper region (Dnieper, Ukraine), Polissya... That is why each of you, together with Tin Sontsya, can be above the immortal steppe or in the mysterious thickets. Although the album "Nad Dykym Polem" is dedicated exclusively to Ukraine and its most glorious historical pages - the Cossacks, most of the songs, including new ones, carry the spirit of all Russia. The best illustration for this is the song “Pisnia Chuhaystra”, which in a short time became loved and respected in Belarus.
Their songs do not contain such obsessive calls as "to fight aliens!" etc; the group simply revives the Ukrainian or even the pre-Christian world of the Motherland in their songs. In the compositions of the "Shadow of the Sun" group, listening, as it were, to the voices of our ancestors ("Kozach's Grave", "Vilny Nebokrayem"), sometimes we dream of legends ("Rotten City"). From time to time we find ourselves in a mystical world, often associated with Gothic culture ("Khrestyny ​​Vovkulaki"), and sometimes we just enjoy lyrical songs ("De dawn shit on you", "Yii lysh tyn").
The album "Hallow the Faith", recorded in 2002, is considered the first work of the group. Founded in 1999, the group proves in 2003 that they have serious ambitions. This was at the time when the idea of ​​"Cossack rock" appeared. Since then, the group has given about 50 performances throughout Ukraine, including Kiev, Rovno, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Simferopol, Nikopol... "Tin Sontsya" took part in the following festivals: "Fortetsa" (Bilgorod-Dnestrovsky, Budzhak), "Old Year Medzhibizh "(Medzhibizh, Podillya), " Taras Bulba "(Dubno, Volyn).
In 2004 the band won the Grand Prix at the Podykh festival (Kiev), and then recorded two more albums. These were: the official release "Above the Wild Field" (2005, publisher - MA "Same Tak!") And the demo album "For Mezheya" (2005).
At the end of last year, the group launched a parallel project “Enchanted Sweet” (with female vocals, folk metal with gothic elements) and, most importantly, contributed to the album “God's Tower” (the famous Belarusian folk / doom metal orchestra) and received many favorable comments. The band is now working on a new program, Polumiana Ruta, based on their latest album of the same name.
